Introducing the Buildcam Pro: 4K Streaming and DSLR Timelapse in One System

The Buildcam Pro combines a 24MP DSLR timelapse camera with a 4K livestream in a single housing: one login, one system, full site visibility.

Product News

The Buildcam Pro brings together two capabilities that have historically required two separate systems: high-resolution DSLR timelapse and 4K livestreaming, housed in a single unit, managed through a single platform.

For construction and engineering teams that need both a complete project record and real-time site visibility, the Buildcam Pro removes the compromise.

The Best of Both Worlds

The Buildcam Pro pairs a 24MP professional camera for long-term timelapse documentation with a 4K IP stream for live monitoring. Both modes are accessible from Sentinel OS: one login, one interface, full project visibility without switching between systems.

What you get:

  • 4K live view for real-time monitoring, remote verification, and incident response
  • 24MP DSLR timelapse for complete project documentation and marketing assets
  • Integrated control portal to view, manage, and securely share content with clients and stakeholders

Switch seamlessly between modes inside the platform. No separate apps, no separate logins, no separate invoices.

Power for Long Projects and Remote Sites

The Buildcam Pro introduces a significantly larger power platform than previous systems: a 120W solar panel paired with a 60Ah integrated lithium battery with smart charge control. AC charging is available as an option where mains power is accessible.

This power system is designed for the demands of a 4K livestream running alongside a high-resolution timelapse schedule: continuous, power-hungry work on sites that may not see consistent sun for weeks at a time.

Built for Harsh Environments

The Buildcam Pro housing is compression-moulded with glass-reinforced construction and silicone seals: the same industrial-grade protection as the Buildcam TL, extended to support the additional electronics of a livestream system.

Operating range: –20°C to 60°C

Mounting: 3-axis bracket built to AS4100 and AS1170.2 structural standards

Protection: IP-rated housing with Schott glass window, fully sealed cable glands, and dedicated humidity management

A single technician can install the full system using common tools. Despite the capability inside, the housing is compact and manageable.

Remote Control and Scheduling

The Buildcam Pro uses the photoSentinel cloud platform, the same interface as the Buildcam TL, for all configuration and management.

From any connected device, you can:

  • Configure complex shooting schedules (weekday only, sunrise-to-sunset, event-triggered)
  • Adjust DSLR exposure settings and streaming resolution remotely
  • Monitor battery levels, signal strength, and system health
  • Receive live alerts for any issue that needs attention

No site visit needed to check if the system is running. No guessing whether the last week of footage made it to the cloud.

Secure, Compliant Data Hosting

All footage and images are stored within Buildcam's cloud infrastructure with data residency options in Australia, the GCC, the USA, or the EU, ensuring compliance with regional data sovereignty requirements.

Access is controlled with tiered permissions. Clients can be given a secure read-only view of the livestream without access to the full timelapse archive. Every user sees exactly what they should see, nothing more.

Built on Proven Foundations

The Buildcam Pro builds on a platform with more than 5,400 systems deployed in 55 countries, logging over 300 million project hours. The hardware design, power management, and cloud platform are all proven at scale.

For projects that need the complete picture, a full historical record and eyes on site right now, the Buildcam Pro delivers both without doubling the infrastructure.
